The Trager® Approach - Level I Professional Training

What could be lighter ? More open ? Effortless ?

How would you like to feel greater freedom and ease, while sharing these feelings with your clients ? The Trager approach uses gentle, respectful touch and rhythmic motion to communicate pleasurable feelings that reach the neuromuscular system and create profound positive transformations. While physical injuries, inefficient postures, emotional trauma or simple repetition of habits can leave us with a variety of uncomfortable moving patterns, Trager interrupts these habitual learned sensations by suggesting a new way of being. This « shift » is experienced while receiving the table session and then integrated into daily life by the practice of easy self care movements taught by the Trager practitioner. Because the Trager Approach is the communication of a feeling awareness, the certification program supports self-development. To be a Trager practitioner is to enjoy and participate in your own evolving well being as well as that of your clients.

During the Level I training you will learn to:

  • Give a complete 1½ hour Trager table session
  • Reach the unconscious mind through the body to create long lasting positive changes
  • Use a sophisticated sense of feeling to identify your clients’ needs and respond appropriately
  • Access and reinforce states of spaciousness, ease and quietness within yourself
  • Teach your clients to access and expand their own wellbeing resources

Prerequisites:

  • Receive two Trager sessions from a certified Trager practitioner OR receive one Trager session and attend (a) a full day introductory workshop or (b) a 6 hour Mentastics® Movement class
  • Receive a student status recommendation from your Trager practitioner or the class leader
These are the minimums, the richer your pre-training experience is, the easier your learning will be.

Credits: 24 hours with CMTBC

Cancellation and refund policy: Class is subject to cancellation 3 weeks before training date, if minimum number of students is not met. Students will be notified and will receive a full refund. If a student cancels for any reason prior to the first day of training, class fee minus 150 $ will be refunded.
